Pretty in Pink
Take your everyday dog treats to the next, more love-y level by giving them a quick coat of pink icing. It’s basically the easiest thing ever, and there’s no baking required (win!) All you need is:
• natural food coloring, like beet or raspberry juice
…and voila! Ho-hum bones become pretty pink V-Day treats in literally seconds. Just stir and spread.

Red Velvet Pupcakes
The name alone is so adorable that you can’t not make them, and thankfully, the ingredients are so common, we had everything we needed on hand. Pop ’em in the oven for 25 minutes, and you’ve got yourself a DIY dog valentine that just might rival them all. Plus, unlike pupcakes‘ human counterpart (cupcakes) this dog recipe is actually pretty healthy. Ingredients needed:
• cooking oil
• beet puree or juice
• baking powder
• cottage cheese
Tasty, right? Might we suggest topping it with the aforementioned pink icing, too?

Tastes Like Chicken
Some like it sweet, some like it savory. If your dog has a taste for the latter, chicken dog valentine biscuits are the way to go—especially when you can make them in the shape of tiny hearts! This recipe only requires five ingredients, and can be baked or frozen:
• rice flour
Mix and mash, spoon into a heart-shaped silicon mold, then bake or freeze to your heart’s content. Yum!

We’re not going to lie. These treats look so delicious and easy, we’re seriously considering making them for ourselves. Mix together Greek yogurt, a banana, peanut butter and honey, pour into a festive mold (hearts!), freeze, and boom. You have a DIY dog valentine you can enjoy, too.

Flea You Later
Dog valentine cookies are pretty darn good on their own, but when they’re also combatting fleas? Hold up! These ingredients help keep those pesky little guys at bay, while serving as a tasty treat for your pup. Here’s what you’ll need:
• beef bouillon
• brewers’ yeast
• garlic powder
• egg yolks
Mix, cut with a heart-shaped cookie cutter, pop in the oven for 20 minutes, let cool and show your dog how much you really love him.
